Welcome to Central Library, Dr. Gour Mohan Roy College. The library is a chief instrument for using various types of knowledge by the users. Libraries are concerned with the entire spectrum of knowledge. Libraries in general and public libraries, in particular, have a very important part of society and developed a country. A library that is an integral part of a University, College, or other institution of post-secondary education administered to meet the information and research need of its students, faculty, and staff. Throughout the world, the Library of a College is considered as part and parcel of the academic set-up. It is created and maintained to serve and support the educational activities of the college. Education and the Library are the two sides of the knowledge society. Without one another one is almost meaningless. Libraries are acting as a catalyst to fulfill the pre-stated objectives of education in general, which all again, helps to build an advanced civilization.
